Welcome to Color Me... Yarn Company.

June 11-13 Estes Park Wool Market

We'll be at the Estes Park Wool Market this coming weekend sharing a vendor booth with Kai Mohair. Stop by and see us. We have lots of beautiful yarns for dyeing, luxury spinning fibers, handpainted yarns, dye kits, llama yarn and roving and lots more.

March 2010

Color Me... is going through some changes. We are going to begin offering yarns for dyeing along with spinning fibers for retail sale through the website. So check back, the new website is coming soon.

What an exciting year this is going to be. We are adding three new variegated colors, ten new coordinating solid colors, six new yarns, and two new patterns.

Lets start with the three new variegated colors. Adventurous is a combination of greens, browns, tans and subtle oranges. Adventurous makes me imagine being on Safari. Tropical is bright with turquoise, greens, and peachy-orange tones. If you can not get to the Caribbean this year, you can at least knit it. Festive reminds me of the circus or Mardi Gras with purples, oranges, and pinks. They are all fun to knit.

There are now 10 new coordinating solid colors that run the gamut from Soft Red to Lemon to Smoke. Sometimes you just do nott want to knit up an entire piece in variegated colors. Solid colors allow you to mix and match or knit them alone. These are still handpainted, so there will be slight variations in color with some highlights and shading visible when knitted.

We are really excited about adding six new yarns. There are two natural fiber yarns and four cotton or cotton/rayon blends. You can see samples of the new yarns on the Yarns page.

Dancing Colors Shawl and By The Sea Shrug are the new patterns using either Treasure or Wooly Worsted. You can see the Dancing Colors Shawl in our ad in the Summer issue of Interweave Knits.

Whisper Scarf Kits are back. I have finally found new bags that are pretty and the right size. The new bags are velvet on one side and sheer on the other side with beads on the bottom and on the drawstrings. The sheer side is nice because the pattern can be read through the material. The bags come in purple, burgundy, moss green, and silver. Each kit contains enough Illusions yarn to make a lovely lacy scarf approximately 8 inches wide x 48 inches long. These kits make nice gifts and are a quick knit for an experience knitter or an easy first lace project for a beginning knitter.

We are a wholesale-only yarn company. If you are interested in purchasing our yarns, please see the Retail Location page to find a store near you.
